At last year’s SHOT Show, Leapers showed off their new UTG Pro monolithic MP5 clamp on modernized handguards. They turned out to be a huge hit among MP5 fans. This year they’ve brought these modern Picatinny mounting options to a receiver scope clamp and a front sight clamp.
These clamp-on mounts allow users to attach modern optics, weaponlights, and accessories onto MP5s while retaining its traditional furniture.
Today’s Livestream was shut down by YouTube due to copyright claims on the video footage from KPop Demon Hunters. I’m claiming FAIR USE. In this video an Animation Industry professional (and Pixar alumnus) and a former Creative Director discuss the technical aspects and art direction of KPDH using looped footage from the film to illustrate our points and provide visual reference to or commentary comparing the state of the animation and the entertainment industry. I’ve filed a Dispute. It will be a couple of days before somebody at YouTube comes to a decision. I hope it’s a reasonable and educated one.

I am testing various 22LR rimfire ammunition at 100 yards to determine which produces the tightest groups in my CZ 457 rifle. My rifle build is a factory-stock CZ 457 VPC, topped with an Area 419 Picatinny rail, and a Discovery Optics XED 6-36×56 scope (their top-tier long-range optic with Japanese eXtra Low Dispersion ED glass).
For this attempt, I am trying out Norma Tac-22. RWS manufactures this ammunition in Germany, which is also the company used to proof CZ 457 rifles at the factory. I have heard good reports on this ammo but my experience with my Ruger Precision Rimfire rifle yielded mixed results. For the test, I’m comparing it to CCI Standard Velocity, which many consider the best overall “bulk” rimfire ammo for bolt-action rifles and bullseye pistols.
After shooting 20 rounds of each, the results were essentially a tie. CCI produced slightly tighter groups but TAC-22’s 2nd group was tighter than any of CCI’s.
During our visit to Super Nintendo World Hollywood, we made reservations for Toadstool Cafe, the only food venue at Super Nintendo World. Because of the park’s attractions and long waits, we made reservations using the QR code at the cafe entrance as soon as we entered Super Nintendo World. To avoid the lunch crowds, we opted for a 10:45am reservation. We had heard that later reservations during peak hours resulted in long wait times and slow or poor service.
Entering the restaurant, choose a queue for a cashier. Make your orders in a fast-food style counter with photos menus of on the wall above. After placing your order, you are given a receipt with an order number and proceed to a staff member at the entrance of the dining room who will bring to you to an assigned table.
A server will bring our food out to your table. During the lunch or dinner rush, there may be delays but our orders came to use in less than 5 minutes. We chose a Toadstool Cheesy Garlic Knot, Piranha Plant Caprese, Super Star Chicken Salad, Yoshi’s Fettucine Alfredo, Mario Burger Kids Meal Set, and Fire Flower Spaghetti & Meatballs. In general, the food tasted good but looked even better than it tasted. Design was fanciful and fun but the flavors were just mid and underseasoned. I found the Mario Mini Burger to be a better deal as it also included a coin-up dessert (a cookie coated in gold colored white chocolate).
Despite the average tasting food, Toadstool Cafe is a worthy experience. While dining, we were entertained by LCD screens around the restaurant showing scenes from the mushroom kingdom, including an attack by Bowser’s airship dropping bombs onto the restaurant and village. The food was filling and pricing was reasonable for a major amusement park. We’ll come back.

This Japanese brand’s cars are known as a Rice Rocket. It’s famous models in the 80’s and 90’s include the EVO and Mirage.
Founded in Japan in 1870 by Yatarō Iwasak this multi-national corporation makes cars, vehicles, ships, trains and industrial machinery. Creator of the infamous “Zero” fighter plane in WW2 #mitsubishi
After testing my first Vector Optics scope, the Continental 1-6×24 LPVO, I had such a positive experience I wanted to test their MPVO. Vector Optics is a Chinese scope brand not very well known in the US. Their top-tier Continental scopes use the same German Schott glass found in premium European scopes.
The Continental comes with a zero-stop turret and a spare turret that turns freely. The elevation turret has a red indicator pin that pops up after 1 rotation and shows a silver base after the 2nd rotation. The build quality is superior to “budget” brands. Its fit and finish is on par with more premium brands like Burris or Zeiss. Its Schott glass provided a bright, clear, and sharp image that was color-accurate and had minimal chromatic aberration.
My sample had an unusual RAR first focal plane reticle (FFP) with a bold, large sunburst circle-of-death reticle. This fast-acquisition ring is much too big for precise shooting, intended to draw you to your target. If you crank up the magnification to 6.5 or higher, the FFP reticle enlarges so that the big ring disappears from view and the view is dominated by the central T-style tactical reticle with a tree. Because the central reticle doesn’t really become visible until you bring up the magnification, this scope really should be run with a throw lever; it’s a shame they didn’t include one with the scope.
The MPVO has a street price around $600, so it’s not “budget Chinese” scope, but it is half the price of a comparable Schott glass scope from Zeiss or Meopta. Amazon doesn’t have this particular model but they do have a simlar one with a different reticle.

The Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) is the subway system that runs through San Francisco, Oakland, and now to San Jose. They recently adopted an anime mascot character called Baylee and her three associates. On September 6, 2025 BART hosted its first Anime and arts festival, named “Lets Glow” at their Warm Springs station near Freemont, CA.
The event was free to attend. I drove in and utlized the ample free parking. I arrived before the official start time of 4:00pm, there were already over 300 attendees and more arriving via the regular BART trains to the station.
They distrubeted event passports that could get stamped at various sections of the event. There was an Itasha row with fun anime and video game graphics modified cars. There were huge crowds around the Artist Alley where local aftists sold their art and merch. There was exceptionally long line to buy BART Anime themed merch.
Lets Glow had probably 10 times more folks than the BART organizers anticipated. It was a fun taste for anime lovers but not much to do and see. Future events would do better to have a headline guest or guests like voice-over artists or J-POP bands.

DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE
Romcoms (Romantic Comedies) are some of the most popular genres in film and television, with a light, comedic tone and a plot that focuses on a romantic relationship. There are many great examples of RomCom TV shows like Friends, Bewitched, I Dream of Jeanie, Three’s Company, The New Girl.
Most popular animated shows are comedies like The Simpsons, South Park, Family Guys, Bobs Burgers.
There are no American Romcom animated series? But there are Romcom Anime.
My favorites:
• My Dress Up Darling
• Love is War
• Makeine: Too many losing heroines
• Ranma 1/2
• Toradora
RomComs aren’t new. They’ve been around for as long as there have been movies. My favorite classic RomComs
Every rifle is different. I’m curious to know what you think of Tac-22 and how it shoots in your rifle? Is it a semi-auto or bolt? Do you consider it a premium or plinking ammo?
I’m sharing an ammo test I ran with my Ruger Precision Rimfire rifle. It’s a factory barrel and action with only minor cosmetic upgrades like an Anarchy Outdoor Penguin grip. I got this rifle during the lockdown so ammo was scarce and selection was next to none so I never got around to testing which ammo it likes until now. For the moment, I’m restricting my tests to the rimfire ammo I can easily buy at my local Big-5 or Sportsmans, rather going for match stuff, which I’ll have to mail-order.
In the last couple of years, Norma Tac-22 rimfire ammo has shown up at my local gun stores. This rimfire ammo was tailored for semi-auto rifles and AR conversions, but it has also earned a following among bolt-action shooters. Norma is a Swedish company, but this rimfire ammo is actually made in Germany by RWS. Inspecting Tac-22 you can see the RWS headstamp on each cartridge. RWS makes some well-regarded rimfire match ammo, but it has been hard to find locally. For baseline comparison, I’ve been using CCI Standard in this rifle. Among my gun club members, CCI Standard is probably the most popular everyday ammo for bolt-action rifles and bullseye pistol competitors.
Testing both in my factory Ruger Precision Rimfire Rifle (RPR), CCI had by far better groups. I had some challenges zeroing out my scope for Tac-22, expending over 20 rounds before I achieved a reasonable zero. This sighting-in should have sufficiently seasoned the barrel with Norma wax. Despite this, my first group produced significant flyers. The average group size of Tac-22 was nearly double the spread of CCI Standard.
