Eley Edge 22LR Ammo Review

https://youtu.be/Qg3LTGJEw80

Eley Edge 22LR vs Aguila Super Extra HV 22LR. How much better does expensive ammo shoot compared to cheap bulk pack ammo in a factory Ruger 10/22? No spoilers. Before watching the end, let me know in the comments what you think will happen?

EZShot Budget Weapon Light

The EZshoot Rail Mount LED Tactical Flashlight 750 Lumens Magnetic USB Rechargeable Weaponlight

The EZShot is a 750-lumen budget weapon light that tries to deliver the features of lights that are 2 to 5 times the price like Surefire, Streamlight, and Olight. Its over-built construction makes it appear chunky; presumably allowing it to withstand impact and physical abuse.

But perhaps they should have built it more like a sub than a tank. A lack of o-ring seals is its Achilles heel making it vulnerable to water creeping in through the lens and the head. On the plus side, if you hate strobe mode, you can only activate this through a separate button on the body that can not be activated accidentally. And after testing I can confirm that it does output more than 750 lumens.

For a budget weapon light, it functions well. But like a Gremlin, don’t get it wet.

A Guide to Budget Mini-Tripods

https://youtu.be/UnenP1fZlXY

With the miniaturization of action-cams and smart-phones, we no longer really need full-sized SLRs or VideoCams. Smaller, lighter, recording devices means smaller and lighter stands and tripods. I review two popular formats for mini-tripod/photo stands. Ubeesize budget mini-tripod and Elegant selfie-stick tripod. Ideal for travel vloggers and photographers. They have limitations but in a pinch could be used as a photo or video tripod for DSLRs and phones.

Tippman Airsoft Mask

For anybody whose eyesight requires corrective lenses and plays airsoft, the most common issue is finding EyePro that allows them to wear their eyeglasses. And even for those that are able to wear contacts, the risk of a lense popping out during a game or getting dust, sand, or debris in your eye outdoors has its own fun challenges.

It’s been extremely hard to find airsoft google or a mask that is large enough to allow the user to wear their eyeglasses. One rare exception is a new airsoft mask from Tippman Tactical. This mask features much of the same features as Tippman’s JT paintball masks, including user-replaceable, double-layered goggle lenses providing extra protection from impact and reducing fogging on cold days.

Tippman, the company that practically invented recreational paintball, has begun developing airsoft-specific gear (a bit late IMHO) under the subbrand, Tippman Tactical. With decades and decades of experience in developing competitive goggles and masks, they recently come out with an airsoft mask that utilizes metal mesh for the faceguard; eliminating the possibility of a stray BB slipping through the vent holes of their paintball masks.

The newest version of the Tippman Tactical Airsoft Mask is colored in an FDE (Flat Dark Earth) color scheme and sold exclusively by Evike.com

Advantage Arms 22LR Conversion for Glocks

With pandemic ammo prices, it pays for itself in one range visit. I’ve had this Advantage Arms conversion slide kit for about 3 years now and have put through over 1000rnds through it without issue.

It is ammo finicky like many 22LR pistols, preferring CCI Mini-Mags and Remington Golden Bullets. I’ve tried Aguila Super Extra and Winchester Super X’s but these cause failures to cycle.

Glock recently came out with the Glock 44, unfortunately we can’t get that here in CA. This solution works better for me because I can use my Glock 17’s frame, with its grip and weapon light for muscle memory.
