DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE

California has over 20 Goobers running in the June Gubantorial Primary

California is the largest state in the union. Largest population. Largest economy. Home of technology, Hollywood, the music business. It’s no flex to say the United States is the most influential country in the world. That’s why the rest of the world watches the news and even bets on the U.S. presidential election.

It’s no understatement to say that California is the most influential state in the union. So that’s why you may be hearing about the California gubernatorial race in your local news.

In 2004 California voters passed a Non-Partisan “Jungle Primary” where almost anybody could run regardless of political party affiliation. On paper, this would expand people’s choice beyond the 2-party system. An open primary will be held in June 2026 with the top 2 candidates proceeding to the general election in November.

This year, the CA board of elections validated 32 gubernatorial candidates. As of this video, 10 of them have dropped out, including, Democrat Congressman Eric Swalwell due to sexual assault allegations.

Here are the other 22 candidates from the Primary Ballot Pamphlet mailed out this week.
