Anarchy Outdoors Little Birtha RPR Knob

The Ruger Precision Rimfire (RPR) is an popular entry-level chassis rifle for PRS training or NRL22. At its heart it’s a Ruger American action, which many companies make upgrade parts to customize and upgrade. One of the easiest upgrades is the knob at the end of the bolt lever.

The factory knob is a simple plastic teardrop which is functional but forgettable. The knob simply unscrews off the lever. Anarchy Outdoors sent me their Little Birtha knob which is an all aluminum dumbell shaped knob available in a variety of colors. Anarchy Outdoors makes the Little and larger Big Birtha knob for other popular rifle makes like Remington and CZ.

Anarchy Outdoors Penguin Grip

Anarchy Outdoors sent me their Penguin Precision Grip. This grip was designed by a former US Army Ranger and law enforcement snipers. Unlike the AR-style factory grip of the Ruger Precision Rimfire (RPR), the Penguin has a vertical angle favored by precision shooters. This angle allows for a more ergonomic hand position when shooting prone or bench rested.

Moreover, the features a thumb rest and hand wrest to reduce grip fatigue and encourage more even trigger pull. The palm swell is skeletonized palm both reduce weight but I suspect to promote airflow to reduce palm sweating. Installation was similar to an AR but easier as there was no selector index pin to keep track of. It was a simple matter of unscrewing the base bolt with a long enough Allen key to reach the receiver base through the hollow grip.

Anarchy Outdoors Bolt Shroud

If you own a The Ruger Precision Rimfire (RPR), chances are you never gave the bolt shroud a second thought even though it’s been literally right under your nose. The bolt shroud is the metal cap that cover the butt end of the bolt and houses the mainspring and firing pin components.

Anarchy Outdoors makes a RPR bolt shroud in a variety of colors. I requested a red shroud to match the red Little Birtha knob they sent me to test out on my rifle. Installation was simple but took a little bit of time as does anything involving a spring under tension. It was a matter of knocking out the holding pin and then re-using the main spring in the factory shroud.

Anarchy Outdoors Bubble Level Scope Rail

The Ruger Precision Rimfire (RPR) is an popular entry-level chassis riflePRS training or NRL22. It comes from the factory with a 30MOA rail which is perfect to compensate for the bullet drop for long range targets at 200yrds or more. But this 30MOA rail can make it impossible to zero a scope for targets at 25yrds or less. I was eager to replace my stock 30MOA rail with a flat rail to easily allow me the option to attach flip-up iron sights to train my kids.

Anarchy Outdoors sent me their 00MOA rail. This Picatinny rail has a built in bubble level that’s user replaceable and they offer a selection of colored levels on their website. This rail is also available in 10MOA, 20MOA, 30MOA, and 40MOA grades and for other popular rifle makes like Remington, CZ, Bergara, and Browning.
